The Bridge Wardens, The Tideway

Views of The Bridge Wardens site

The Bridge Wardens pub on The Tideway is the western most building in the Rochester South and Horsted ward and sits on the boundary of all three of the Rochester wards. The pub closed down in September 2016 and there has been a planning application – reference MC/17/1923 – submitted to demolish the pub and build 2 x 3 bedroom and 6 x 4 bedroom houses (8 homes in total) with associated parking, gardens and landscaping.
Please see the Medway Council planning portal via following link for further details: https://publicaccess.medway.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=_MEDWA_DCAPR_147152

For ease of reference, we attach a scan of the proposed layout for the site. Having seen some of the pub conversion schemes across Medway where tiny flats are crammed onto tiny sites, the Rochester South and Horsted ward councillors are pleased to note that the developer is proposing to build family sized homes with individual gardens on the substantial site.
