Strood Academy

Children living in Strood South have the opportunity to attend Strood Academy. The new buildings in Carnation Road were built at a cost of £26 million and opened in September 2012.
As the attached picture shows, they offer an outstanding learning environment with excellent outside play areas as well as fantastic sports facilities. The Academy say on their website that these “buildings reflect our education vision of creating a mature and purposeful educational environment where children of all abilities can learn and thrive.

Sponsored by the University for the Creative Arts, the school is currently rated Good by Ofsted who described it as a “thriving and rapidly improving Academy“.

It is great to have Strood Academy here in the ward providing a first-class education to the pupils. I have had the pleasure of visiting the Academy on a number of occasions and have never failed to be impressed by the excellent facilities provided there.
