The Great British Spring Clean was a campaign with one simple ambition: to bring together people from across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline.
Your local Councillors, Trevor Clarke, Sylvia Griffin and Rupert Turpin joined with a couple of residents and the community wardens to become “litter heroes” in Rochester South and Horsted.

Across Medway in every ward, an event was held to clean up the environment and for our ward we met on the field next to the Scout Hut at the entrance to The Horsted Valley. Some fifteen bags of litter were collected and as a result of the endeavours, the Community Payback team were subsequently engaged to clear the piece of woodland around the top of the alleyway connecting Concord Avenue with Snodhurst Avenue.
