Maintaining roads in Strood South
Darnley Road experiences heavy traffic flows and being a major bus route through the ward it is important to make sure repairs and improvements are made to the road surface.
Other highway improvement works carried out by Conservative-run Medway Council in Strood South included the resurfacing of Parkfields, the whole of Lancelot Avenue and works to improve the junctions of Dart Close and Columbine Road with Darnley Road.

It is good to see the continuing work that the Council are doing in looking after the roads here in Strood South. If elected to be a part of the Conservative administration running the Council I will be in a strong position to make the case for investment into our local roads and report and act on all highway issues that residents raise with me.
It is important that local councillors remain on top of the wear and tear issues affecting our roads. If elected, I will be able to work with my Conservative colleagues on the Conservative-run Council to press the case for effective highway maintenance of all our ward roads.
