Ward councillors joined senior managers from Countryside Properties and Amicus Horizon for the official Topping Out ceremony at Rogallo Place on Monday to celebrate the laying of the last roof tile on the Extra Care scheme at Horsted Park. To be managed by Amicus Horizon who run various other schemes across the Towns, Rogallo Place will provide;

  • 36 x 1-bed apartments for rent
  • 2 x 2-bed apartments for rent
  • 9 x 1-bed apartments for shared ownership
  • 16 x 2-bed apartments for shared ownership

The scheme is exclusively for residents aged over 55 with varying degrees of care need. There has been a shortage of this type of provision across the whole Medway area and we do welcome the building of this unit here in the ward. Building continues across the rest of the Horsted Park estate and we understand will be completed by end of next year / early 2019.
