Residents across North Kent are being invited to send in their views on the Lower Thames Crossing between Gravesend and Strood, and Essex. Below is an email from Tim Jones, the Project Director at Highways England on 10th October 2018.

We would encourage all residents of Rochester and Strood to have their say on this project. You can do so by going to the Lower Thames Crossing website

We would like to hear from you

We want to hear your views about the proposed new motorway connecting Kent, Thurrock and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames.

We are contacting you because you have previously expressed an interest about the Lower Thames Crossing and we would like to let you know that the consultation about the Lower Thames Crossing is now open.

Since the Government announced the preferred route in April 2017, we have been listening to residents, community groups, businesses and other organisations which has helped us to develop our plans.
This consultation is the latest stage in these plans and an important opportunity for you to shape the Lower Thames Crossing.

To have your say, go to lowerthamescrossing.co.uk/haveyoursay for more information and to access the response form – which will take you as little as a few minutes to complete.

Please tell us what you think by 23:59 on 20 December.

If you have any questions, you can call our helpline on 0300 123 5000 between 9am and 5pm, or email ltc@highwaysengland.co.uk Monday to Saturday.

With kind regards

Tim Jones
