Hot off the press! Another plan is coming together nicely. The Conservancy Building, next door to the Guildhall Museum, has been sold by the council to Nucleus Arts for £590,000 and will be used for Art, so will remain available for public access. This price is considerably above the reserve, as I expected.

I am thrilled they were successful bidders, and I will be meeting with the new owners very soon to discuss how we can work together to the benefit of Rochester. It will be great to have them back in our High Street.

And of course, the funds from the sale will be used improve our other heritage buildings including the Guildhall Museum itself. Good news all round.
