John has been a Strood South resident for over 30 years and has had the privilege to represent you as your Conservative councillor on Medway Council for the last 9 years. Josie has also lived in Strood South for 30 years and is delighted to be back representing the residents of Strood South. Winning the recent by election has given her the opportunity to return and continue to serve and work for local residents. Mark lives in Medway Gate with his family and joined the Strood South Conservative team following the successful Strood South by-election campaign in 2016.
Together we believe Strood South is a great place to live and working with our Conservative colleagues on the Council are committed and determined to ensure that good front-line services are maintained and we will continue to fight for improvements to the ward to enhance the lives of those of us who live and work here.
Strood is currently seeing record amounts of investment into the community and infrastructure including the multi-million pound investments into the Community Hub and Library, Strood Sports Centre, Archive Centre and Rail Station and over nine million pounds of grant funding obtained by Medway’s Conservative Council for the improvement of the highways and traffic flow across Strood. All of this, while maintaining our excellent weekly waste and recycling collections and keeping Medway’s Council Tax the lowest in Kent.
We look forward to meeting you and listening to your views, so please do take the time to look around Strood South’s pages and get in touch with us directly using the survey or contact page.
