It was a great visit this morning to the Copper Rivet Distillery at the former pump house in Chatham Maritime with owner Bob Russell and their distiller.
It is a real asset to Chatham and we look forward to it opening shortly and developing into a thriving business trading both locally, nationally and internationally.

Cllr Mackness said: “I am sure it will become one of the key visitor attractions when people visit River Ward alongside The Historic Dockyard, Royal Engineers Museum and Fort Amherst.
Plans for a bar, cafe and restaurant are also in the pipeline, which will add to the offer in Chatham Maritime and the exciting venues to visit. Personally I look forward to tasting our local gin, vodka and whiskey.”
