Strood North and Frindsbury

Strood North & Frindsbury benefits from excellent transport links, with proximity to major routes such as the A2 and M2, and access to Strood railway station, which provides easy travel to London and other destinations on the Kent coast. The area is also served by several local bus routes.

In 2023, the ward boundary transferred the mainly retail area south of the High Street – along Cuxton Road to the Darnley arch, and down to Morrisons/the river – into our ward.

The ward has a diverse mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, and green spaces. Landmarks, such as the historic All Saints Church in Frindsbury, contribute to the area’s rich heritage. The community is served by various amenities, including schools, healthcare facilities, and recreational centers.

The Conservative Party remains steadfast in its dedication to the residents of Strood North and Frindsbury:

  1. Enhancing Infrastructure: Advocating for improvements in transportation, public services, and digital connectivity to meet the evolving needs of the community.
  2. Supporting Local Businesses: Implementing initiatives to stimulate economic growth, support entrepreneurs, and create employment opportunities within the ward.
  3. Promoting Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation in local governance through regular meetings, consultations, and events to ensure residents’ voices are heard.
  4. Preserving Heritage and Environment: Protecting historical sites and green spaces to maintain the ward’s unique character and promote sustainable living.
  5. Bringing back Strood Market: Campaigning to bring back the market to Strood Town Centre, either in its original form or an adjusted one.
