Strood Rural Community Warden
Cllr Gary Etheridge joined the Strood Rural Community Warden to see first hand how local issues are dealt with.
Medway Community Wardens are a uniformed team who work towards tackling the causes of anti-social behaviour and improving the quality of our local environment, through engagement, education and persuasion.
They also deal with complaints you make relating to:
- abandoned vehicles
- dog fouling
- graffiti
- skips – dangerous / illegal
- scaffolding – dangerous / illegal
- stray and dangerous dogs
- refuse out early
- carriageway / footway obstructions or structures
- street cleansing issues / inspections
- assisted collection referrals
Officers will attend community engagements, Partners and Community Together (PACT) meetings, assist with community payback projects / clean ups. They also visit schools in Medway.
